The following are the priorities on which I’m basing my campaign for the upcoming general election on the 8th February.
Stronger Regional Development
It is critical that we develop coherent policies that promote our regional cities. We need to ensure that Limerick delivers on its potential for economic growth. We can develop a region that prioritises quality health care, affordable housing and reliable public transport to enable this growth.
As a Councillor I have a track record of working with representatives from all parties and none to achieve the best for Limerick. Whoever forms the next government, it is important that we have a strong voice from the Mid-West to champion regional growth, sustainability, and an urgent response to climate change.
A Fairer Society
Our response to the challenge of climate change must also ensure that we deliver a fairer society, in both urban and rural areas. To achieve this we need policies that support the most vulnerable in our society while improving prospects for all.
